A MESSAGE FROM OUR CHIEF RENEGADE
Hi friend, I’m Rhea!
I started Renegade Ideas in 2025 to help small business owners scale their brands, untangle the messy parts of building a business, and show up consistently online. I’ve always been business-minded, so I know just how much work goes into creating something you’re proud of.
Before I became a designer and brand strategist, I was an esthetician specializing in microblading and eyelash extensions. After a serious car accident, I decided to pursue a creative path, something I’d always loved, and went back to school for design.
I excelled in the Communication and Information Design program at Mount Royal University, where I learned an important lesson: beautiful design is nothing without strategy. It has to be human-centered to truly serve both the business and the customer.
I love helping people and supporting the brilliant minds behind the projects I work on. I take entrepreneurs and business owners and help them visually build what they’ve only imagined, strategizing how they show up online, grow their reach, and create a brand that actually supports their business goals.
I believe design should be accessible, that even the underdogs can show up like the big players, even if their budget can’t compete.

We are here for the underdog, the dreamers, the people who know what they want, but need a little, or a lot of help to get there. Our mission is to help small businesses turn hopeful ideas into clear, effective design. We work closely with entrepreneurs, mom-and-pop shops, and small businesses to create high-quality visuals without intimidation or gatekeeping. We believe in our clients’ goals, meet them where they are, and support them every step of the way turning vision into digital reality.
VISION
At Renegade Ideas, our vision is to be a design partner that small businesses can trust, one that makes design feel approachable, encouraging, and genuinely helpful. We want our clients to feel confident in their ideas and empowered to continue to bring them to life.
THE NAME
While in university, Rhea, volunteered with Pacific Assistance Dogs Society, raising service dogs for people with mobility challenges. One of those dogs was Renegade.
Renegade joined Rhea during her final two years of school and quickly became more than a trainee. She was a steady presence, offering support when things felt overwhelming, energy when motivation was needed, and calm when everything else felt loud. Renegade showed up differently for everyone she met, instinctively giving just what was needed in the moment.
That balance stuck.
Renegade Ideas was built with the same philosophy: meet people where they are, support without overwhelming, and create work that’s both dependable and adaptable. Thoughtful when it needs to be. Bold when it counts.
Renegade is now retired, living a slower life as Rhea’s family dog, but her influence lives on in how we work, who we work with, and the kind of support we believe good design should provide.
